Dude, why don’t you have up the news yet. GSP will be fighting Nick Diaz its official on the UFC website set for OCT. 29th…2 undefeated champions since 2007 in both welterweight classes, strikeforce and UFC…this is gonna be epic.
George has great wrestling for never being a wrestler and he is a very nice guy. I am 49 years old, wrestled my whole life and have never seen a better natural wrestler. Now for the bad news, GPS can’t finish a fight. If he does finish it is a submission. When he promoted the UFC 158 he talked the boxing talk about how he has the best boxing training partners. Well, he sure didn’t show it. Diaz trains with Andre Ward, who is one of the top 3 best pound for pound boxers in the world. When a fighter talks the talk, then they should walk the walk. If you talk stand up then use it. In the third round GSP was shaken after just a few shots by Diaz. GSP can’t take a punch. For the average fight fan GSP is great and the women love him. For fighters he is seen as a talent, but does only enough to win and look good. He fights like a robot on steroids and fighter don’t like his brand of fighting. When GPS faces a Hendricks or Ellenberger he will have a very tough time trading punches and a very hard time taking them down and keeping them there. His fight smarts will be tapped out and if he can re-invent his game he might have a chance to win. GSP is trained and seasoned for 5 round fights and that will be one advantage, unless if you count screaming women that like handsome guys in tight shorts, then he has 2 advantages. Dana White likes him because he pulls in the gate. GSP is a no problem easily promoted fighter. I wish GSP well and I hope for his sake he can expand his game or he will lose to either Hendrick or Ellengerger.
